| | The big question that one is left with, after reading this special, is why was this a special and not just the next issue of JSA? I had the same question with last week's special Magog. This special seems to follow a straight line on the course of the last few issues of JSA. This is not a side story that deserved more time (like the Superman special). For the last several months, the heroes from JSA have been following Gog in a glacial walk through the African countryside. This isn't to say that this special isn't any good. To the contrary, if it would fit into the JSA title, smoothly, it by definition has to be good. So where will the next issue of JSA start? I presume it will have to start at the end of this special. That's hardly going to be appreciated by the readers that get JSA every month but didn't pick up this special. |
