Follow up:
As is the norm, for this title, the art and writing are excellent - with one exception. Straczynski is unable to capture the voice of Dr. Doom. He has the voice of Thor, Loki, and the other Asgardians down to a note, but Dr. Doom just doesn't sound anything like Dr. Doom. The primary problem is in the cadence, I think. Although the word choices are a bit off, too. It was a tad disconcerting to hear Dr. Doom say he had to look something up on Wikipedia.
Last issue, the super-sized #600 had Thor in a fight to the death with another Asgardian that was under the influence of Loki. As a result of that fight, Thor has been banished from Asgard. Meanwhile, Loki is manipulating Balder into moving the Asgardians from Oklahoma to Latveria - hence the entrance of Dr. Doom.
This really is one of the best titles being published. Asgard and the Asgardians have little of the artifice that they often evidence. Thor has often been depicted two-dimensionally - not in this title. Here he is as real as you or me. Every issue makes me excited for the upcoming Thor film, directed by Kenneth Branagh.
