Review: Wonder Woman #32 C-
| Writer: Gail Simone Artist: Aaron Lopresti Matt Ryan: Inker Publisher: DC Comics Price: $2.99 |
Read by itself, this is a fairly decent comic. Simone's gift of dialogue is evident, Aaron Lopresti's art is excellent. Unfortunately this issue doesn't stand alone. I've lost track, but it feels like Wonder Woman has been in combat with this Genocide character for at least 6 months. I have to wonder if it is indeed the longest fight scene in comics history.
To add to the ordeal, for the whole multi-issue fight Wonder Woman has narrated about her confusion between doing what her values say to do and what seems necessary to end the fight. All of this, I presume, is Gail Simone's way of dealing with the events from a few years ago where Wonder Woman had to kill Max Lord in order to save Superman.
I'm really not sure where this story is supposed to be going, nor am I sure I really care.
